DESCRIPTION
Alfama 7 is located at 3, Santa Cruz do Castelo Street, inside the first walls of Sao Jorge Castle, in the Alfama neighbourhood.
Walking in this centuries old neighbourhood is like diving into history: Lisbon was born here and grew along the centuries towards the river.
The area is mostly pedestrian, extremely picturesque, composed of cute narrow streets and tiny squares. During the day the quarter is usually crowded, as are the small grocery stores, local restaurants and fado houses. In the evening the human tide that visits the Castle vanish into other parts of town and the quarter turns to be very quiet and calm. Alfama 7 is a studio on a ground floor of a recent building constructed over the foundations of a previous centuries old property. Unit was totally renovated in 2015.
Apartment was transformed into a cozy and functional open space studio. A modern american kitchen functions in harmony with the living and dinning areas. Renovation partially maintained the traditional woonden floor and ceilings and incorpoorated a modern bathroom, a tailor made closet and a storage space.
A child can sleep comfortably on the sofa bed but the space in Alfama 7 was planned, designed and dimensioned with a couple in mind. Decoration is serene in colours (white, pastel and a splash of light blue) and in materials (wood and acrylic) bringing a sense of modernity, elegance, comfort and a touch of romantic spirit to the unit.
Last but not the least, outside the front door there is a pathway where a table and chairs can be easily assembled for a dinner al fresco, or just a drink while relaxing and enjoying the Castle views right in front of you.
